Rules and Regulations:

1.      The costumes must be based on the theme “Curse of The Moon: The Final Sacrifice”.

2.      Costumes are only to be made using recycled or reused items, and rented or ready-made clothes are prohibited.

3.      Presenters must be in full uniform, with exception to those who are wearing costumes.

4.      Time given for the presentation is 5 minutes. Marks will be deducted if the time limit is exceeded.

5.      The presentation must be done either in English or Mandarin.

6.      Anything related to political, sexual or religious issues are prohibited from the banner design and presentation.

7.      Schools have the choice to send a maximum of 3 members to participate in the presentation, with one member required to present the costume.

8.      The background music must be prepared by the participants and handed in beforehand.

9.      Participants are allowed to finish their costumes before the competition.

10.  The costumes must not be too revealing or gothic.

11.  Batteries are allowed to be used for lighting and/ or other special effects for the costumes.

12.  Questions will be asked by the judges, and the presenters are required to answer ALL questions asked.

13.  Violation of the rules will result in the deduction of marks.

14.  The judge’s decision is final and no complains will be entertained.

15.  The organizing committee reserves the right to amend the rules without prior notice.

Mask Design Competition

Rules and Regulations:

1.      The mask must be made based on the theme “Curse of The Moon: The Final Sacrifice”.

2.      The mask must be finished before the competition.

3.      The design, shape and materials chosen for the mask are not fixed.

4.      The style of presenting is up to the discretion of the presenters.

5.      Presenters must be in full uniform, with exception to those who are wearing/ carrying the mask.

6.      Time given for the presentation is 5 minutes. Marks will be deducted if the time limit is exceeded.

7.      The presentation must be done either in English or Mandarin.

8.      Anything related to political, sexual or religious issues are prohibited from the mask and presentation.

9.      Schools have the choice to send a maximum of 3 members to participate in the presentation, with one member required to present the costume.

Sketch Competition

Competition/ Presentation Venue           : Hall

Maximum Participants                          : Unlimited

Rules and Regulations:

1.      The sketch/ drama must not contain any vulgar language or sensitive issues, e.g. politics, sexual and religion.

2.      The plot of the sketch is encouraged to follow the theme of the gathering “Curse of The Moon: The Final Sacrifice.

3.      The sketch must be at least 5 minutes long, and be no longer then 10 minutes.

4.      The costumes of the sketch must be suitable and participants must not be scantily dressed.

5.      The sketch must be recorded onto CDs and be handed in beforehand, with another backup copy saved in a pen drive and brought along to the gathering.

6.      The recordings are advised to be in mp3 format.

7.      Violation of the rules will result in the deduction of marks.

8.      The judge’s decision is final and no complains will be entertained.

9.      The organizing committee reserves the right to amend the rules without prior notice.

Dance Competition

Maximum Participants                           : 12

Rules and Regulations:

1.      The number of participants in a group must be between 5-12 people.

2.      The dance performance can either be a modern dance OR traditional dance OR a combination of both.

3.      The participant’s attire must not be too exposed.

4.      Time given for the performance is 4-8 minutes.

5.      The performance is not required to be based on the theme.

6.      The CD containing the music must be handed in beforehand.

7.      Participants are allowed to claim back their CD after the competition.

8.      Participants are advised to bring a pen drive with their backup copy to the gathering.

9.      The files are advised to be in mp3 format.

10.  All required items and accessories should be prepared beforehand.

11.   Teams that fail to fulfill these requirements will be disqualified.

12.  Violation of the rules will result in the deduction of marks.

13.  The judge’s decision is final and no complains will be entertained.

14.  The organizing committee reserves the right to amend the rules without prior notice.

1.      Each school can send a maximum of a trio (1 Group) to compete in the competition.

2.      The participants must be appropriate and not too exposed.

3.      Time given for the performance is 3-5 minutes.

4.      The performance is not required to be based on the theme.

5.      Only English and Mandarin Songs are allowed.

6.      Participants should seek the approval of the organizing committee to use other languages or dialects.

7.      The CD containing the music for the competition must be handed in beforehand.

8.      Participants are allowed to claim back their CD after the competition.

9.      Participants are advised to bring a pen drive with their backup copy to the gathering.

10.  The files are advised to be in mp3 format.

11.  Musical instruments are allowed to be used during the performance with the permission of the organizing committee.

12.  Participants are encouraged to sing original songs.

13.  Violation of the rules will result in the deduction of marks.

14.  The judge’s decision is final and no complains will be entertained.

15.  The organizing committee reserves the right to amend the rules without prior notice.

3.      Presenters must be in full uniform.

4.      Time given for the presentation is 5 minutes. Marks will be deducted if the time limit is exceeded.

5.      The presentation must be done either in English or Mandarin.

6.      Anything related to political, sexual or religious issues are prohibited from the banner design and presentation.

7.      The size of the banner should be 2m x 1m.

8.      Only ‘Pelaka’ Mural Paints, Postal Colour, Water Colour or paint are allowed.

9.      Participants should seek approval from the organizing committee to use other mediums or materials for their banner.

10.  Participants must have a banner stand for their presentation.

11.  Violation of the rules will result in the deduction of marks.

12.  The judge’s decision is final and no complains will be entertained.
