11th George Town (South) 62nd Annual Anniversary Cum Farewell Gathering 2015

Theme: The Battle Through Time
THE DAWN OF TIME
Nothing existed except for darkness. The inky blackness engulfed this void we now know as the universe before it ever existed. But something happened which changed the very course of history. For an unknown reason, a speck of light was found within this vast abyss of nothingness. It just appeared there without any reason or source. But it was fate that it showed up. Slowly, it began to shine. It became hotter and thus expanded. This was the beginning of life, the creation of the universe. But not only was this happening in our universe, it was a chain reaction between all the dimensions in existence.
LIFE
The universe never stopped increasing in size and mass. And within the universe, formation of subatomic particles took place, and later simple atoms. Giant clouds of these primordial elements later coalesced through gravity to form stars and galaxies. And through this vast universe was a galaxy that will come to be known to us as the Milky Way, where a very unique planet was created through the eons. It had all the necessities to sustain life. And so, life formed slowly, evolving until multicellular beings roamed Earth.
Scientifically, we were told that no human could have existed during the age of the dinosaurs but they are dead wrong. There was a community known as The First Civilization. They were the very first of our kind. They were intelligent, agile and skilful. The perfect human. They were able to tame the beasts of their time and were also able technology which was far beyond their time. They built an empire strong and honorable. They all lived together in peace and harmony and were led by their leader-Odin. But all that was to change…
THE PROPHECY
One day, during the day of the Black Sun, a meteorite crashed in the heart of their city. Odin’s son was in the radius of the blast along with thousands of other people. But he was unscathed… the only sole survivor. As the dust cleared, he approached the meteorite. He was not wary of the destruction it caused as he was under a trance. As he drew closer, whispers and voices ran wild through his mind. But still, he remained calm and kept on walking towards the meteorite fragment. The space rock started to glow in an eerie, dark and mysterious way. His hands moved as if they had minds of their own, and as his finger made contact with the rock, he was blown back by the force and impact that came from the meteorite. He fell unconscious. The meteorite disintegrated without trace… but the dark and ominous force was not gone. Odin’s son was given immediate care and treatment. His right hand which had made contact with the mysterious rock had a pitch black insignia inscribed on his palm.
When he regained consciousness, he realized that a plague had infected his people. His father, lead an expedition to find a cure. He knew that it would be to no avail. When he was unconscious, he had visions of the future. He knew the fact that a great and powerful threat would not only wreak havoc on his civilization only, but also on all other future ones to come. And the mark he bared was the mark of the death bringer- Excessus. The visions showed him the despair and agony faced by the beings of the future. He had to do something…
THE PREPARATION
The plague killed his men one by one. The animals and plants were not granted mercy too. He informed the elders that there was no hope for their civilization but he was certain that life shall reinhabit Earth. He pledged them for their vast knowledge to help him save the future. The elders agreed and brought him to a secret chamber in the depths of their metropolis. Inside it was a machine. The elders told him that it was capable of letting one focus and to enhance their ability to control their life forces and alter his genetic code. If used correctly, one could be immortal and never age. It had not been used before and the elders never intended to as such power would bring havoc on the balance of life, but the boy had a righteous heart. The elders told him, “Heed our warning: “Immortality is not a pleasant road. You shall be alone until the end of time. Are you sure this is what you want?” He agreed of course as he knew it was his fate, his responsibility, his curse. The elders then began the operation. It went on for days on end and it was a success.
After that, he had all the time in the world to think of a plan to stop Excessus. But as he sought a plan to save the future civilizations, he was also bearing witness to the destruction of his own people. The plague slowly engulfed all life, and killed every being except him. He was alone but he never strayed from the path he chose. Unfortunately, something was not right, indeed he did not fall victim to the plague but he could feel his strength weakening over the centuries. He realized that death was inescapable, but his time to meet the Grim Reaper was delayed at an extremely slow rate.
REINCARNATION
As the centuries passed, life began again. All that time to ponder had led him to only one conclusion. He knew that he would not survive long enough to face Excessus. But he could guide the future. All he had to do was to wait for civilization to happen once more. And as expected, it did. He had a lot to do but the time he had was wearing thin. The Mayans, Egyptians and Aztec were his three main priorities. He spent the rest of his life pulling the strings behind their civilization, guiding them to make the tools to exterminate Excessus. With the Mayans, he made a pair of gauntlets which enhanced the wearer’s strength a thousand fold. The Egyptians made armor which could not be penetrated by the sharpest of spears. Whereas the Aztecs crafted a Scimitar so deadly it could tear mountains and seas alike in half. The inhumanly powerful items were hidden by the chieftains of their civilizations and they kept it until it was the right time. The last key of the puzzle was to leave his knowledge to one person, but it had to be one who was noble and brave as he was. He knew that it was impossible and his time was running out.
As he travelled through the Himalayas, he had waded through snowy mountains before encountering a witch. In her hand was a staff which was oddly familiar to him. He was baffled to know that it was one of the staffs of the Elders. She was somehow expecting him. She told him that she could help, as she had seen the myths and legends of the past and they were fated to meet on this certain land, and it was also fate that had allowed her find the staff.
She suggested that she could cast a spell on him to let his current body die and he would be reincarnated, and by the age of 18, he will regain his memory and will fulfill his prophecy in stopping Excessus. He had no choice but to trust her as she was the last hope he had. Thus she started to chant out the ancient words of The First Civilization, his people, while twirling the Staff which glowed blue. His body started to tremor and he could feel himself age at a rapid pace. Excruciating pain ran through his veins as he slowly turned into dust.
“Go Vita, the fate of the world now rests in your hands……”
