Junior Training Camp 2010

JTC! a.k.a. Test Camp.
This camp was held from 8th till 10th September.
It was attended by Form 1 and Form 2 scouts only because Form 3 had to prepare for PMR.

DAY 1

Fall in!

After confiscation of handphones and some food items, and also checking of first-aid kit, the participants were ready to check in. Because the teacher was running late, the opening ceremony was forced to be postponed.

After Modern Cooking Competition, everyone ate until they were full. After 11am, it was finally time for the Opening Ceremony.

Opening ceremony with speech by Chairman Mas. Toon Xiau Wei, Discipline Master Mas. Jeffrey Leong and official opening speech by one of the Teacher Advidors.

After that, the participants prepared for their journey. Form 1 scouts had a shorter journey than Form 2 scouts.

After the short journey, the Form 1 scouts had time to rest and revise for the test session while the Form 2 scouts continued their journey.
Actually, some stations for the test session are for learning scout knowledge and skills for Usaha.

At about 7.30pm, the participants had dinner.
Later, the Form 2 scouts were back and the participants went for Asas Pembarisan. At 10.00pm, the first day of camp is over.

DAY 2

First, check-in. Then, morning inspection and layout. The Gateway inspection was done later to give them more time to ensure their gateway is good enough.

After inspection, more marching. At 11am, the Knots Board Competition is held.
During the afternoon, the participants had tests again, this time, Form 2 also had tests.
After that, finally, it's time for Campfire Night!

Everyone had fun singing, dancing and yelling during Campfire Night. But at 10pm, it's time to go home again...

DAY 3

The participants had a good night's sleep last night and came back for the station games. But first they have morning inspection and campsite clearing. At 9.30am, they got to play station games and physical training.

After the station games, the participants rested and prepared for the closing ceremony.
Then, it rained!

So, the Closing Ceremony had to be held in the Scout Den hall. The rain suddenly stopped after the ceremony started. Anyway, the prizes to be given out this time were very nice and unique, thanks to Mas. Ooi Chun Lin.

Congratulations to all the prize winners! After the prize-giving, it was time for the official closing ceremony.

The participants clearly enjoyed their experience at JTC. But it was time to say goodbye to this camp. After the closing ceremony, they went home.
