60th Annual Anniversary cum Farewell Gathering 2013

As rays of sunlight shines down from the realms of Heaven, fire breathes from the underworld. Both worlds collide, fighting for souls of the dead, wanting to conquer both worlds. As the souls take their mere steps, they're pushed into either worlds. To fight for justice or injustice, it's decided on Judgement day.

Competition Rules And Regulations

FIELD DÉCOR COMPETITION
Registration time                               : 7.30a.m.
Registration venue                            : Competition Counter
Registration Fee                                : RM10
Competition / Presentation venue     : Hall
Maximum Participants                      : 5

Rules And Regulations :
1.      Participants are only allowed to decorate their allocated slots.
2.      Participants will be responsible for any damages done to the hall.
3.      Designs and decorations must not be according to the theme but are encouraged.
4.      Participants must also consider the height of their decoration so that it can go through the door.
5.      Participants are also encouraged to bring their decorations on the day of the gathering.
6.      Violation of the rules will result in deduction of marks, participants may also be disqualified.
7.      The judges’ decisions are final and no complaints are to be entertained.
8.      The organizing committee reserves the right to amend the rules without prior notice.



BANNER DESIGN COMPETITION

Registration time                               : 7.30a.m.

Registration Fee                                : RM10
Competition / Presentation venue     : Hall
Maximum Participants                      : 2

Rules And Regulations :
   1.      The banner must be drawn according to the theme “ Heaven vs Hell : Judgement Day” .
   2.      The banner must be drawn before the event. 
   3.      Only 2 presenters are allowed to present during presentation.
   4.      Presenters are required to be in full uniform.    
   5.      Time given for presentation is 5 minutes. Marks will be deducted if time given is exceeded.
   6.      The presentation must be done in English or Mandarin.
   7.      Anything related to political, sexual or religious issues are prohibited from the banner design and                             
        presentation.
   8.      The size of the banner should be around 2m x 1m.
   9.      Only ‘Pelaka’ mural paints, postal colours, water colour or paint are allowed.
   10.  Participants are advised to seek approval from the organizing committee to use other medium or materials     
         for their banner. 
   11.  Participants are encouraged to prepare a banner stand for their banner presentation.
   12.  Question will be asked by the judges at the end of presentation and participants are required to answer all 
         the questions. If fail to do so, marks will be deducted.
   13.  Violation of the rules will result in deduction of marks, participants may also be disqualified.
   14.  The judges’ decisions are final and no complaints are to be entertained.
   15.  The organizing committee reserves the right to amend the rules without prior notice.






GRAND MASQUERADE COMPETITION
      Registration time                               : 7.30a.m.

      Competition / Presentation venue     : Hall
      Maximum Participants                      : 3

  

   Rules And Regulations
     1.      Costumes prepared must be based on the theme “ Heaven vs Hell : Judgement Day”.

     2.      Participants are advised to use only recycled or reused materials, and rented or ready-made clothes.     
     3.      Schools are allowed to send a maximum of 3 participants for this competition. Either 2 presenters 1 
           model or 1 presenter with 2 models.   

     4.      Presenters must be in full uniform during presentation.

     5.      Time given for the presentation is 5 minutes. Marks will be deducted if time limit if exceeded.

     6.      The presentation must be done in English or Mandarin.

     7.      Anything related to political, sexual or religious issues are prohibited from the grand masquerade 
          design and presentation.

     8.      Participants are also encouraged to prepare their own background music for the presentation.

     9.      Costumes must be prepared before the presentation.

    10.  The costumes must not be too revealing or gothic.

    11.  Participants are advised to seek approval from the organizing committee to use other materials for their 
          costume.
    12.  Questions will be asked by judges during the end of the presentation and participants must answer all 
          questions asked. If failed to do so, marks will be deducted.

     13.  Violation of the rules will result in deduction of marks, participants may also be disqualified.

     14.  The judges’ decisions are final and no complaints are to be entertained.  
     15.  The organizing committee reserves the right to amend the rules without prior notice.





SKETCH COMPETITION
     Registration time                               : 7.30a.m.
     Registration venue                            : Competition Counter   
     Registration Fee                                : RM10
     Competition / Presentation venue     : Hall  
     Maximum Participants                      : Unlimited



     Rules And Regulations :

     1.      The storyline of the sketch is encouraged to follow the theme “Heaven vs Hell : Judgement Day”.

     2.      The sketch/ drama must not contain any vulgar language or sensitive issues, e.g. politics, sexual and 
           religion.

     3.      The sketch must be at least 4 long and not longer than 8 minutes.

     4.      Marks will be deducted if the sketch is either too long or too short.
     5.      The costumes prepared for the sketch must be suitable and participants must not be scantily dressed.   
     6.      The sketch must be recorded into CDs and be handed in beforehand, with another copy saved in a 
           pendrive and bought along to the gathering.
     7.      The recordings are advised to be in mp3 format.
           8.      Violation of the rules will result in deduction of marks, participants may also be disqualified.
           9.      The judges’ decisions are final and no complaints are to be entertained.
          10.  The organizing committee reserves the right to amend the rules without prior notice.


DANCE COMPETITION
     Registration time                               : 7.30a.m.
     Registration venue                            : Competition Counter  
     Registration Fee                                : RM10
     Competition / Presentation venue     : Hall
     Maximum Participants                      : 12

     Rules And Regulations :
     1.      The number of participants in a group must be between 5 – 12 people.
     2.      The dance performance can be either a modern dance OR traditional dance OR a combination of both.
     3.      The participants’ attire must not be too exposed.  
     4.      Time given for the performance is 4-7minutes.
     5.      Performance is not required to be based on the theme.
     6.      Participants are to hand in a CD containing the music beforehand.
     7.      Participants are allowed to claim back their CD after the competition.
     8.      Participants must prepare another copy of their music in a pendrive during the day of the gathering.   
     9.      The files are advised to be in mp3 format. 
    10.  All required items and accessories should be prepared beforehand.
    11.  Teams that fail to fulfill these requirements will be disqualified.  
    12.  Violation of the rules will result in the deduction of marks.
    13.  The judges’ decision is final and no complains will be entertained.
    14.   The organizing committee reserves the right to amend the rules without prior notice.


SONG COMPETITION
     Registration time                               : 7.30a.m. 
     Registration venue                            : Competition Counter
     Registration Fee                                : RM10
     Competition / Presentation venue     : Hall
     Maximum Participants                      : 3

     Rules And Regulations :
      1.      Each school can send a maximum of trio (a group) to compete in this competition.
      2.      Participants must dress appropriately and must not be too exposed.
      3.      Time given for each performance is less than 6 minutes. 
      4.      The performance is not required to be based on the theme.
      5.      Only English and Mandarin songs are allowed.
      6.      Participants should seek approval from organizing committee to use other language or dialects.
      7.      Participants are to hand in a CD containing the music beforehand.
      8.      Participants must prepare another copy of their music in a pendrive during the day of the gathering.
      9.      The files are advised to be in mp3 format.
     10.  All required items and accessories should be prepared beforehand.
     11.  Musical instruments are allowed to be used with the permission of the organizing committee.
     12.  Participants are encouraged to sing original songs.
     13.  Violation of the rules will result in deduction of marks.
     14.  The judges’ decision is final and no complains will be entertained.
     15.  The organizing committee reserves the right to amend the rules without prior notice. 


MINI SCULPTURE COMPETITION
     Registration time                               : 7.30a.m.
     Registration venue                            : Competition Counter  
     Registration Fee                                : RM10
     Competition / Presentation venue     : Hall
     Maximum Participants                      : 2

     Rules And Regulations :
      1.      The mini sculpture prepared must be based on the theme “Heaven vs Hell : Judgement Day”.
      2.      The measurement of the mini sculpture must be around 1.5m in height and 1m for width and length.
      3.      Participants are encouraged to use recycled materials for the sculpture prepared.  
      4.      The mini sculpture must be prepared before the gathering.
      5.      Schools have a choice to send a maximum of 2 members to participate in the presentation.
      6.      Presenters must be in full uniform for the presentation
      7.      Time given for the presentation is 5 minutes. Marks will be deducted if the time limit is exceeded.
      8.      Participants are required to use either Mandarin or English for the presentation.
      9.      Batteries are allowed to be used for the sculpture for lighting or special effects.
     10.  Participants are to seek approval from the organizing committee to use other mediums or materials for their mini sculpture.
      11.  Questions may be asked by the judges, and the presenters must answer ALL the questions asked.
      12.  Violation of the rules will result in deduction of marks.
      13.  The judges’ decisions are final and no complains will be entertained.  
      14.  The organizing committee reserves the right to amend the rules without prior notice.
